Use it to elevate vanilla ice cream to a gourmet level, or drizzle it over cheesecakes, pancakes, waffles or anything else you fancy (apart from Idris Elba, we’re not sure he’d approve). Born out of one man mixing and churning milk in his dairy barn, Jude’s is a family business who specialise in ‘udderly’ delicious flavours. Based among the rolling hills of the South Downs, they started by selling ice cream to the local pub and have expanded exponentially from there, picking up more than fifty Great Taste Awards to date. What makes Jude’s a little different is that they have recognised the environmental impact of the dairy industry and reacted accordingly. They are Britain’s first carbon negative ice cream and desserts company, teaming up with Professor Mike Berners-Lee, who is not only the brother of the inventor of the World Wide Web, but also one of the world’s leading experts in carbon foot printing. Jude’s is also a B Corp, which means they’re a company that puts people and the planet before profit.
