Birkenstock（勃肯）是一个世界知名的德国凉鞋品牌，拥有超过二百多年的历史。1774年开始，德国Birkenstock(勃肯)家族就从事为皇家制作鞋子的服务。1902年设计了“体贴足底弓的鞋底”(flexible arch support)，并广为厂家接受，加入大量生产的的鞋履中。这种拥有特别鞋底的鞋子成功行销全国。1913年开始与医学界的合作，并且开始利用工厂大量生产，并推广健康鞋的议题，受到当时医学界的肯定。
