Danner Mountain Light Boots in Brown. A backpackers best friend, the Mountain Light Danner Boots has set the bar for how hiking boots should look and function. For over 30 years, Danner’s Mountain Light has set the standard for every new product to hit the market and nothing has come close. Fully constructed in their Oregon, USA-based factory and built with the same commitment since day 1, these are a boot that oozes quality craftsmanship. Made in a one-piece construction from pre-tested durable full-grain leather to eliminate any openings, especially around the tongue area to keep water out. This also gives a simple minimal appearance to the finished product with marginal seams on show. Bolstered with a GORE-TEX liner for unmatched elemental protection, while at the same time being breathable and allowing sweat and moisture out when needed. The boots sit atop a Vibram Kletterlift sole that's specifically designed for durability and comfort incorporating excellent shock absorption. The sole also offers great stability and traction on both wet and dry surfaces thanks to the rubber compound. The Mountain light also utilises the handcrafted stitchdown construction, where the upper leather is pulled down around the anatomical last, flared out and cemented to the midsole, and then stitched to the outsole. Please not, this can give the appearance of an unfinished sole. Coming with a height of 5” and weighing 58oz per pair, these waterproof full-grain leather boots are unmatched in comfort and support. Other features include lace fastening with a mixture of D-ring and hooked eyelets for a sturdy fasten, debossed Danner branding to the heel and tongue and finished with a mixture of tonal and contrasting stitch detail. Fitting - Width EE. Mountain Light Boots have been designed to fit an average-width foot while offering a more relaxed fit for casual everyday wear. Made with a 650 EE last, this style runs a little long, so Danner recommends sizing down half a size for the best fit.
