The two-eyelet Michael derby debuted back in 1945, and it might be the most iconic model from French label Paraboot. This black version is traditional in its appearance, with smooth leather uppers, a waterproof Norwegian welt and a chunky rubber sole. There’s even a green brand tab at the collar for good measure.

This Paraboot model is made using waxy leather. When subject to differing temperatures the leather can sometimes 'bloom' resulting in a waxy deposit, this is entirely normal and can be polished away using a duster.
