Classic, rich and very lemony. What could be better? Twist off the lid of Harvey Nichols Fruity Lemon Curd to experience spreadable sunshine. Its fresh and zesty lemon flavour will lift any breakfast, even on a dreich Tuesday in winter. So, spread it on to freshly baked sourdough or white bread with gay abandon. Alternatively, it adds a zingy touch to cakes, biscuits and macarons. The Fruity curd range is made exclusively for Harvey Nichols by Thursday Cottage, a brand launched in 1963 from a house of the same name in Somerset. In 2002 the owners, Hugh and Pam Corbin, sold their company to Tiptree – one of the most famous names in the world of jam – and the production was relocated to Trewlands Farm in Essex. Although Thursday Cottage has moved across the country, their small-batch, award-winning jams, marmalades and curds are still made the old-fashioned way in open pans using vast quantities of the finest fruits. Where possible, they’re also filled into jars by hand, because you can stuff more whole fruit in that way. So, when we say fruity, we really mean it.
