From the Pilot Collection, the Spitfire remains true to the purist instrument design of the Mark 11 navigation watch, which was produced from 1948 onward for the British Royal Air Force. The new, IWC-manufactured 32110 calibre is featured for the first time in this functional timepiece. The robust automatic movement has bi-directional pawl-winding that builds up a power reserve of 72 hours. The stainless steel case, black dial and green textile strap were inspired by the colors found in the Spitfire's cockpit. A soft-iron inner case effectively shields the movement from magnetic fields.
